Shopping for a used SUV in Canada often comes down to finding something reliable, practical, and affordable for daily life. Whether you need confidence during snowy Toronto winters, extra room for family road trips, or better value than buying new, a used Kia SUV can check all the right boxes.
Over the last few years, Kia has built a strong reputation for blending smart technology, dependable engineering, and everyday comfort into vehicles that hold up well over time. If you are searching for the best used Kia SUV, focusing on recent model years, especially 2022 to 2025 models, can offer a sweet spot of modern features, strong reliability, and better value. Here are some of the top used Kia SUVs worth considering in Canada.
The Kia Sportage has become one of the most popular compact SUVs for Canadian drivers, and for good reason. Recent used models, especially from 2022 to 2024, offer a modern design, comfortable cabin, and the kind of practicality many drivers need for commuting or family life.
The Sportage is known for balancing fuel efficiency with capability, while available all-wheel drive helps drivers feel more confident when Ontario weather shifts unexpectedly. Recent models also include useful technology like Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, touchscreen infotainment, and advanced driver-assist features depending on trim level. If you want a versatile SUV that feels easy to drive in the city while still being road-trip ready, the Sportage deserves a closer look.
For drivers who want SUV practicality in a slightly smaller package, the Kia Seltos stands out as one of the strongest used SUV options.
Models from 2023 to 2025 continue to be popular because they combine compact dimensions with impressive interior space. That smaller footprint makes parking around Toronto easier, while available all-wheel drive adds extra confidence during Canadian winters.
The Seltos also delivers strong value by offering many features drivers want today, including smartphone connectivity, modern safety systems, and comfortable seating, often at a more budget-friendly price point compared to larger SUVs. For first-time SUV shoppers or urban commuters, the Seltos strikes a practical balance between comfort and affordability.
Need something with more space? The Kia Sorento is a great choice for families or drivers who regularly carry passengers and cargo.
Used Sorento models from 2021 to 2024 continue to offer impressive versatility thanks to available three-row seating, generous cargo room, and family-friendly comfort. Whether it is hockey gear, grocery runs, or weekend getaways outside Toronto, the Sorento gives drivers more flexibility without stepping into a full-size SUV. Many recent Sorento models also include advanced safety technology and available all-wheel drive, making them especially practical for Canadian roads.
Depending on your lifestyle, there are a few other Kia models worth exploring. The Kia Soul offers unique styling and surprising practicality, making it a good fit for students, younger drivers, or anyone wanting something different from a traditional SUV.
The Kia Niro, available in hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions, is ideal for drivers focused on fuel savings and lower running costs. For buyers interested in electric driving, used Kia EV6 models are beginning to appear on the market, offering modern EV technology and impressive performance.
Before buying any used vehicle, it helps to do a little homework. Try to focus on vehicles with a strong maintenance history, low mileage, and remaining warranty coverage when possible.
You should also check for helpful features such as Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot monitoring, and all-wheel drive if you plan to drive through harsh Canadian winters. Certified pre-owned models can also offer added confidence through detailed inspections and additional warranty protection.
